Cinnamon Strawberry Monkey Bread

You can make this classic dessert with any type of jelly, jams, or fruit.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (16.3 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries or jam
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with cooking spray or butter.
  2. Open the biscuit cans and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Toss the biscuit pieces in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until they are well coated.
  4. Layer about half of the sugar-coated biscuit pieces in the bottom of the greased loaf pan.
  5. Add the remaining biscuit pieces on top of the strawberries.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir well until the mixture is smooth.
  7. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the biscuits and strawberries in the pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a serving plate.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
