Instructions:
1. Prepare the Strawberries:
• In a bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with the 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar if you choose to macerate them. Let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to release their juices.
2. Make the Chai Spiced Mascarpone Cream:
• In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cardamom, ground cloves, and ground nutmeg.
• Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the mixture until smooth and well combined.
• In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
• Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated. Be careful not to overmix to maintain a light and airy texture.
3. Assemble the Dessert:
• In individual serving glasses or a large trifle dish, start with a layer of the chai spiced mascarpone cream.
• Add a layer of sliced strawberries.
• Sprinkle a layer of chopped pistachios.
• Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the glass or dish, finishing with a layer of the mascarpone cream.
4. Garnish and Chill:
• Sprinkle additional chopped pistachios and a few strawberry slices on top for garnish.
• If desired, add fresh mint leaves for an extra touch of color and flavor.
• Chill the layered dessert in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
Storage:
• Store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
